Care

Light: this plant thrives best in a bright spot with indirect sunlight, such as a living room.

Water: Keep the soil slightly moist, but not wet. This will prevent root rot. A weekly splash of water is sufficient.

Cuttings and propagation

A leaf begonia can be pricked in several ways. A quick method is to cut off a healthy stem with at least one leaf and a node (the thickened part where roots develop). Place the cutting in a glass of water and roots will develop within 2 to 4 weeks. Once the roots are strong enough, the cutting can be planted in potting soil.
