The growth stages of your plants

The growth stages of your plants

In this article, we discuss the four developmental stages of plants and what you can do to give your plants the best nutrition and protection during each stage. If you use the right nutrients during each phase, your plants will grow stronger and greener. They will produce more fruit and will also taste better.

1. The seed

Every plant originated from a seed. The seed contains all the nutrients to grow a seedling. When the seed germinates, one part will search for light, the other part will later become the root system of the plant. Once outside the shell of the seed, this little root will immediately start looking for the substances it needs. These are water, vitamins and other micro-nutrients. The more these substances are present during the germination phase of your plant, the stronger and larger the mature root system will become.

Cellmax BIO Rootbooster is a certified organic product that has been specially developed to stimulate root growth. It contains natural substances extracted from seaweed, such as vitamins, boron, iron, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulphur, manganese, zinc and molybdenum. It also contains a small amount of nitrogen. That is important, because an excess of nitrogen is not good for your plant in this phase.

2. The seedling

When the seedling gets true leaves, we call it a seedling. Seedlings often get their own small pot in which to develop further. The seedling thrives best in a protected environment, without too much wind or cold. The potting soil in the pot gives the roots the necessary firmness to expand in all directions, looking for food. That is the second function of potting soil: to provide extra nutrients that promote the growth of the young plant.

In nature and in open field cultivation, organic materials are converted into substances such as nitrogen and phosphorus during the so-called mineralization process. These are substances that the young plant needs in order to grow. In Cellmax Organic Potting Soil, 40% of the nitrogen and phosphorus is directly available to the plant. That is ideal for seedlings.

3. The growth phase

When your plant gets bigger, you can repot to a larger pot or to the open ground. Also now you use BIO potting soil. After a while, the release of nutrients from the soil will decrease. Extra fertilizer is then necessary, especially for larger plants. You can start with Cellmax Bio Grow immediately after repotting.

Cellmax Bio-Organic Grow is made from 100% vegetable ingredients and is enriched with extra proteins, vitamins and natural acids for optimal growth. It has a balanced ratio of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus, precisely tailored to the growth phase of your plants. It contains trace elements and ferments to make your plants grow strong and large, so that they can bear many flowers or fruits. You can use it every time you water.

4. The fruiting phase

As soon as your plants get buds, a new phase begins. Your plant has developed sufficiently and is ready to bear fruit. The plant needs other micro-nutrients, which are necessary to grow flowers and fruits. In particular, the plant then needs extra potassium. Now is the time to switch to Cellmax Bio Bloom.

Just like Grow, Cellmax Bio-Organic Bloom is an easy-to-use liquid organic fertilizer. Bio-Organic Bloom is enriched with extra potassium and is therefore especially suitable for flowering and fruiting plants. In addition to potassium, it contains all vitamins, trace elements, ferments and natural acids that are necessary in this phase for optimal fruit development. You can use it every time you water.
