Lowering pH during the flowering phase
Cellmax pH- Bloom is a concentrated pH down product for nutrient water during the flowering and fruiting phase. The product is used when the pH value is too high after adding flowering nutrients and supplements. By lowering the pH in a controlled manner, you can better tailor the nutrient solution to the growing medium and feeding schedule used.
The pH value partly determines how available nutrients are in the root environment. When the pH is not within the desired range, plants are less easily able to absorb certain nutrients. An appropriate pH value is therefore particularly important in growing methods where the nutrient solution is precisely controlled.
Why adjust the pH during the flowering phase?
During the flowering phase, you often use a different composition of base nutrients and supplements than during the growth phase. These products affect the pH of the nutrient solution. The hardness and composition of the water used also play a role.
Cellmax pH-Bloom contains 59% phosphoric acid and is specifically designed to lower the pH during the flowering period. Due to this high concentration, only a small amount is needed to affect the pH level of a nutrient tank.
Determine the desired pH value
The current product information lists a pH range of 5.2 to 6.4. The ideal value within this range depends on the growing medium, the plant, the bloom nutrients and the water quality.
Use a calibrated pH meter and determine in advance which target value suits your growing method. Only measure the pH after all base nutrients and supplements have been added to the water and thoroughly mixed.
Usage
- Add pH-Bloom in very small doses (5ml/L) to the nutrient tank.
- Stir the contents of the tank well.
- Check the pH value until the desired pH value is reached (5.2-6.4).
- Repeat the steps until the desired value is reached.
